When looking at the macro category of "Dining Out," the growth rate compared to the same period last year has gradually decreased with some fluctuations. Examining some specific industries in the micro category, we observe that the growth rate of "Izakaya" is declining, it still shows a higher growth rate compared to "Sushi." This suggests that the recovery of izakaya consumption is continuing, which was restrained during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As of September 15, 2023, the residential distribution ratio of consumers for "amusement park" consumption is compared between stores located in Osaka Prefecture and Chiba Prefecture. Both prefectures host nationally renowned theme parks. However, in Chiba Prefecture, approximately 60% of consumers reside within the Greater Tokyo Area, while in Osaka Prefecture, the distribution is higher amongst regions outside of the Kinki region. This suggests the ability of the Osaka Prefecture stores to attract consumers residing in various regions outside of the Kinki region, such as the southern Kanto and Tokai regions.
